總統蔡英文7日上午來到憲兵239營視察，坐上我國自研自製的雲豹裝甲。在致詞時她提到，「現在是民主時代，憲兵勤務值勤應該要有為有守」，對軍紀要求要比其他部隊更嚴格，被解讀是針對日前爆發的憲兵搜查案做呼籲。

不畏天氣炎熱，蔡英文總統照樣黑色褲裝加上長袖西裝外套現身憲兵239營視察，在總統府秘書長吳釗燮、國防部長馮世寬的陪同下試乘雲豹裝甲。雲豹裝甲在營區內繞行兩圈，蔡英文事後透露「憲兵239營是憲兵唯一裝甲部隊，試乘後感受到大家勤務訓練跟精進上的認真態度。」

蔡英文致詞有感而發，她認為「憲兵是跟我接觸最密切的」，因為每天走進總統府，第一個跟她敬禮的就是大門口憲兵，拉近關係後，她提到自己視察三軍部隊後，基層反映「人不夠用，業務越來越繁雜」、以及「勤務訓練壓力」等問題，她要求國防部長、總長指揮官應該要解決第一線官兵難題。

話題一轉，蔡英文引用憲兵歌「以匡以導，必身先之」，勉勵憲兵既然負責軍紀，軍紀要求就應該比其他部隊更嚴格，她提到民主時代，勤務值勤應該「有為有守」，以維護民主、自有法治為要務。被解讀是針對日前爆發的憲兵違法搜查案件藉機喊話。
