我國桌球「一哥」莊智淵今天凌晨在克羅埃西亞公開賽男單8強賽，以4：2擊敗世界排名20的葡萄牙選手阿波羅尼亞（Tiago Apolonia），挺進4強賽。

世界排名第7的莊智淵過去對上阿波羅尼亞，拿下3場全勝，兩人上次交手是在2014年的國際桌總世界巡迴賽年終總決賽，那次莊智淵以4：0獲龍岡二胎 勝。

如今莊智淵與阿波羅尼亞第4度對決，打得辛苦，雖然前兩局以11：6、11：6取得領先優勢，但之後遭到對手頑強抵抗，以9：11、7：11連丟兩局，局數被扳成2平；最後他有效調整，以11：6、11：9連下兩局奪勝，寫下對戰4場全勝紀錄。

下一戰莊智淵將在台北時間今天下午5時40分，出戰南韓選手鄭榮植，爭取決賽門票，過去兩人生涯對戰4次，莊智淵擁有4場的全勝優勢；上次交手是在2014年的世界團體桌球錦標賽，當時莊智淵以3：0獲勝。

此外，有「天下第一削」美名的南韓名將朱世赫，在8強賽以4：1擊敗日本名將水谷隼，寫下對戰3連勝；下一戰他將與香港好手何鈞傑對決，爭奪另一張男單決賽門票。
